PROFILE OF A MUSIC ENTREPRENEUR

Mr Femi O. Oyewunmi is the CEO of MOA Entertainment and Seeds Music he is fondly called the Manager; a well experienced Artiste & Repertoire Manager for years. His has managed a number of up and coming artistes to a professional level and helped to secure record and marketing deals. He has consulted for a number of artiste and record labels and he managed the Lagos office of a London based record company Simply Divine Ltd. He joined Nova promotion Ltd. In 2001 as A&R Manager, where he managed Olufunmi & and the Novafrica band and in no time secured a number of engagement for Olufunmi & the band. They featured at RCCG Congress Wind of change and Holy Ghost service and a number of churches and campus concerts, across the country Like University of Ibadan, University of Ilorin, Ogun State University to mention a few; she also features along side Kirk Franklin of USA here in Lagos. He is also a good marketer with experiences in direct sales and promotions, he was asked to head the Auvinet the distribution arm of Nova promotion Ltd. Other departments he worked as the marketing officer of the Replicant also an arm of Nova Promotions ltd. He resigned his appointment as the company’s accountant in 2004. He is the author of The Musicians’ Handbook the Quintessential Guide for Professionals, published by his company, four other books are to be published soon, and they are presently being sold now in a PDF format.    

He has been instrumental in helping to develop the music industry in city of Lagos in various ways over the years. At various times organized concerts, talent shows and seminars. In his drive to cause a change in the music industry, he has set up a training programme to develop artiste and artiste managers and his much a waited record label will be launched in December 2006; presently there is a search for the next gospel sensation by his label Seeds Records. He as a special love for children, this he showed by putting together a music talent competition for children between the ages of 5 & 12 on children’s day. Where the winner went home with a guitar and the runner up won a Vcd/cd/mp3 disc man and lots of other gifts for the participants. Summer music training for children is being put together this holiday. He has an audio book that will soon be released for children from his stable. He is also a children teacher in his church.
